SYSTEM BLUEPRINTS
The core operating patterns of Sanctuary OS. Deployable system configurations optimized for tactical execution.
01
INITIAL SETUP
When you first launch Sanctuary OS, you will be greeted by the Setup screen.
The system needs to know where your game and mods live.
-
Auto-Detect Paths: Click the cloud icon to automatically locate your game.
-
Live Path (Game/Bin): The directory where your game executable lives (e.g., C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin).
-
Mods Path: Your active game Mods folder (e.g., Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods).
-
Vault Path: This is new. Select a safe, external directory to act as your "Deep-Storage Archive" (e.g., a dedicated folder on your largest hard drive).
-
Once configured, Sanctuary OS will pull your existing mods out of the dangerous live folder and safely secure them inside the Vault.
02
THE COMMAND CENTER
Your primary dashboard gives you a real-time overview of your game's health.
-
Your Collection: Total number of artifacts (mods) safely stored in your Vault.
-
Verified Safe: Mods that have been checked against the Global Database.
-
Broken: Mods flagged by the community or system as severely broken.
-
Quarantined: High-risk or malicious files caught by the system's Malware Protocol.
-
Quick Actions: Use this panel to quickly run a Radar Sweep (conflict scan) or completely Lockdown / Reclaim the Bunker (instantly strip all mods from the game or restore your active loadout).
03
YOUR COLLECTION
The Vault is where your mods actually live. The game never touches these files directly.
-
Intake: You can drag and drop new .package or .ts4script files directly into the Sanctuary OS window. The system will automatically ingest them into the Vault.
-
Enforced Organization: The Vault uses a strict "One Mod, One Folder" rule to prevent messy subfolder chaos.
-
Dossiers: Clicking on any mod opens its "Dossier." Here you can view its Cloud Metadata, update its classification (CAS, Build/Buy, Script, Animation), or manually equip/unequip it.
-
Duplicate Detection: If you ingest a mod with a file hash (DNA) identical to one you already own, the system will prompt you to replace the old one, preventing invisible clones.
04
BLUEPRINTS
Instead of manually moving files, Sanctuary OS uses Blueprints (loadouts).
-
Drafting: Go to the Blueprints tab to create a new profile (e.g., "Decades Challenge", "Modern Build").
-
Equipping: When you click EQUIP, Sanctuary OS magically projects (via lightning-fast symlinks) only the mods in that Blueprint into your game's actual Mods folder.
-
Snapshots: Found a loadout that works perfectly? Click SAVE ACTIVE PROFILE to take a snapshot of exactly what is currently in your game and save it as a new Blueprint.
05
CONFLICT RADAR
Sanctuary actually reads the code inside your .package files to prevent game-breaking issues.
-
Conflict Radar: Scans your currently equipped Blueprint for overlapping resources. It flags Fatal Engine Clashes (Core Python/Binary overlaps) and Tuning Overlaps (XML/SimData conflicts).
-
Nexus (Global Logic): Sanctuary connects to a global cloud database to learn how mods interact.
-
Dependencies: It knows if a mod requires another mod to function.
-
Exclusives/Rivals: It knows if two mods will break the game if used together.
-
Twins: It links duplicate mods that serve the same purpose.
-
-
Resolving: When a conflict is found, the Radar allows you to dictate the "Load Order" override right from the app, telling the game which mod should win the conflict.
06
SOLDER LAB
If you download an unknown mod and want to test it safely:
-
Select the unknown mod in the Solder Lab.
-
The system will automatically isolate your game (pulling out your active Blueprint).
-
Click INITIATE HOT SWAP to inject only that mod into the game.
-
Sanctuary OS will launch the game and continuously monitor your lastCrash.txt and lastException.txt files. If the game throws an error, the Lab catches it immediately, allowing you to flag the mod as broken.
07
TIME CAPSULE
Sanctuary OS handles your game backups automatically using ultra-fast zstd compression.
-
World State Backups: Backs up your Saves and Tray folders.
-
Engine Core Backups: Backs up the actual game installation files (Game/Bin, Data, Delta).
-
Restoration: If your game breaks, you can restore a Time Capsule with one click to revert your game to a previously working state.
08
THE DEFCON PROTOCOL
Game updates (Patch Days) are the number one cause of broken mods and corrupted saves. Sanctuary OS features a global DEFCON network.
-
When a new game patch is detected globally, Sanctuary OS enters DEFCON 1.
-
Emergency Intercept: If you try to launch the game during DEFCON 1, Sanctuary OS will intercept the launch and throw a massive red warning.
-
It will ask you to perform an Emergency Backup of your saves and automatically unequip your mods to ensure the new EA patch doesn't corrupt your data.
09
MARKETPLACE & CREATOR TOOLS

Sanctuary OS is a highly connected ecosystem.
-
Marketplace: Browse the global cloud registry for new mods. If you don't have a mod, you can click "SEARCH WEB" to automatically look for the creator's download page.
-
Mason Hub: Mod Creators are known as Masons. If you are a creator, you can register your Mason profile.
-
Architecting: Masons can upload "Dossiers" (metadata) for their mods directly to the Sanctuary Cloud, defining what DLCs are required, linking Patreon pages, and warning users about known conflicts globally.

QUICK TIPS FOR NEW USERS
-
Never put files in your EA Mods folder again. Always drag and drop them into the Sanctuary OS app so they go to the Vault.
-
Trust the Radar. If the Radar says you have a Fatal Conflict, do not ignore it. Use the resolution tool to decide which mod wins.
-
Keep Malware Protection ON. Found in settings, this prevents your PC from running known malicious script mods. Disabling it will ban your hardware from the Global Network
